Privacy Policy

Fridgiary Android Video Player · Operator: linqen
Package: com.linqen.fridgiary.player · Effective: October 19, 2026

This policy covers the Android app that plays local videos and YouTube links in an ordered, repeating playlist. Selected video files are processed on your device, without uploading them to our servers. This is a separate product from our discontinued food-management app.

1. Selected files and playlists

The app reads the contents, names, sizes and media information of files you choose in the Android document picker for playback, conversion and display. It does not request access to your entire media library, search unselected files, or change or delete original files. The camera-shaped button opens the add dialog; it does not take photos.

Files, conversion results, YouTube video IDs, start times, titles and playlist order are held in the current player's memory. We do not store playlists in an app database or on our servers, and do not take persistent file-access grants. There are no accounts, payments, or first-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. Retention and deletion

Remove an item with its delete button. Closing the app or Android terminating its process clears the temporary playlist and conversion results; they cannot be recovered. Original files stay on your device. Rotation is designed to retain the current player, but cannot prevent operating-system process termination.

WebView may retain cached web resources and permitted third-party cookies or storage on the device. You can clear app data and cache in Android settings or uninstall the app. App data is excluded from backup and device transfer. Removing playlist entries or uninstalling does not delete information already sent to Google.

3. YouTube and Google

Entering a link alone does not load YouTube. The official YouTube IFrame Player API and embedded player connect when you start that item or the playlist advances to it automatically. The app does not upload local video files to YouTube, or download or convert YouTube videos.

YouTube may receive the video ID, playback requests and interactions, IP address, WebView and device information, and the app-identifying origin. Android WebView media integrity checks may send the app package, version, signing certificate and a device attestation token from Google Play services to Google to verify the app and device. The app does not directly request your Google password or access to your Google account.

The app disables acceptance of third-party cookies in WebView; this does not stop all YouTube data processing. YouTube may process information and permitted storage and show ads under its own policies. Use is subject to the YouTube Terms. See the Google Privacy Policy for processing and retention, and Google My Activity to manage activity saved to your account.

To avoid YouTube connections, use local files without playing YouTube items. Closing the app ends the current player connection. Playback is designed to pause when the app goes into the background.

4. Conversion tools and websites

Files that cannot play directly may be converted on-device. When needed, the app downloads ffmpeg.wasm tools from jsDelivr. The download request excludes video contents and file names, but its provider receives IP addresses, requests and device information. See the jsDelivr Privacy Policy.

The main player is bundled in the app. Opening fridgiary.com links, including this policy, contacts OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare-based hosting, which may process IP addresses, request paths and times and browser information for delivery and security. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Third-party retention and deletion follow those providers' policies.

5. Permissions and device behavior

The app uses internet permission for YouTube and conversion tools. Files are selected through the system picker. The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or notification permissions. It requests that the screen remain on during playback; this cannot prevent Android from terminating the app or the device from powering off.

6. Contact and your choices

Contact the operator, linqen, at contact@linqen.co.kr for privacy inquiries or access, correction and deletion requests. Email addresses, messages and attachments are used to respond and deleted when that purpose ends, except where retention is required by law or necessary for a dispute. Please do not send unnecessary video files or personal information.

We cannot access or recover files and playlists that we do not hold. Manage third-party data through those services' controls and contact channels. We will update this policy when our processing changes.
